WinGD has received the first orders for its X-DF-M/E two-stroke engine platform configured for primary ethanol operation. The order covers two six-cylinder, 820mm-bore 6X82DF-M/E engines destined for a pair of Newcastlemax bulk carriers of 325,000dwt each, ordered by Shandong Shipping Corporation of China and to be operated under long-term charter to Vale, the Brazil-headquartered iron ore producer.
