Helping develop your careers

When I joined RINA in 2009, the CEO presented to my class, and back then we still used paper forms. The website was dated, the library ran by mail order and only a handful of resources were available digitally. My welcome to the Scottish Branch came as a printed events pamphlet through the post.

Now, RINA is far more digital, and combined with an ambition to improve support for early careers and professional registrations, we wanted a more purposeful offering. So, after bringing the right people together, we proposed an initiative, which we called Developing Careers.

It covers support for those starting a naval architecture career or making a career change. It looks to develop resources for school engagement and improve our support for those in university, apprenticeship or other training routes – bringing all paths into our profession under one banner.

So, how does RINA support our members’ career ambitions?
