Arctic Corsair is a 1960s sidewinder trawler, one of the last surviving to sail from the UK. Part of Hull’s deep-sea fishing fleet, she fished as far as Iceland and Newfoundland, saw action in the Cod Wars and retired in 1987.
The vessel is being restored by Dunston Ship Repairs with Beckett Rankine as the naval architects. Arctic Corsair will soon be moved to a dry berth at North End Shipyard, where she will be part of a new visitor attraction, alongside a new museum built to Passivhaus standards that houses a
