About US

The RINA Cumbria Branch Committee is made up of 8 members with a spread of ages & backgrounds from a recently graduated Associate member to Fellow. We are largely based in South Cumbria with 6 out of 8 of us working for BAE Systems, but with Members spread all across Carlile and Lancaster. We have three key aims:

1) Hold networking events that allow us to understand more about our respective fields from members within our branch and the wider marine industry.

2) Host a number of lectures each year, in person and online, to allow us to learn more from the very best.

3) Facilitate and encourage career development within Naval Architecture. From the very beginning at school level, by getting involved with STEM activities, all the way through to providing Professional Review Interviews to enable Chartered Engineer status for our members.
