Champions the highest professional standards across naval architecture and maritime engineering. The Committee oversees professional registration, accreditation and continuing professional development, helping to maintain the reputation and credibility of both the Institution and the profession.
Dedicated to advancing knowledge and capability, this committee oversees education, professional development and chartership pathways, shaping policies that uphold the integrity and prestige of the RINA membership community. The Professional Affairs Committee is responsible to the Council for all matters relating to the education and professional development of members of the Institution. It is authorised to act and speak on behalf of the Institution in accordance with Council policies relating to education and professional development. The Professional Affairs Committee represents the Institution as a Licenced and Nominated Body of the Engineering Council.
