German car tuning provider ABT claims to have exported some of its motorsports know-how into the design of a very limited-edition series of luxury RIBs produced by Sacs Marine, Italy. Restricted to just 10 units, the Strider 11 ABT Sport Master measures 11m x 3.73m and features a dry weight of 4.5tonnes (including engines), a 700mm draught, a 530litre-capacity fuel tank and a 130litre-capacity water tank. The colour black has been applied to the model’s carbon tubes, hull and deck, for what Sacs Marine calls “an aggressive look”, juxtaposed with grey and red upholstery.
Approximately 552kW of engine power enables the RIB to travel at speeds of more than 50knots, though it can handle up to approximately 597kW of power. The boat can accommodate up to 14 people, with two covered beds located at the stern, and a shower installed by the cockpit. The RIB has a tube diameter of 690mm.
ABT, which works with car manufacturers Volkswagen and Audi, says that the Strider 11 ABT Sport Master “racing details”, dashboard and remote controls have been modelled on automotive design features. Unfortunately, the company declined to comment when Ship & Boat International asked how many (if any) units were left.
