A beach club, sauna and 115m² flybridge with 4m swimming pool are some of the notable features aboard the 48.8m displacement yacht M/Y Elaldrea+, the latest motor yacht to launch from Benetti’s yard in Viareggio, Italy. The undisclosed owner of this vessel is also set to enjoy spacious interior design, with the owner’s suite covering 60m². This area includes two walk-in wardrobes, a double bathroom, an office area and an exterior balcony, accessible by sliding door.
Architect Horacio Bozzo, also of Viareggio, provided the design for the yacht’s exterior lines and aluminium-steel superstructure, while Benetti Style Department was responsible for the boat’s interior. Guest accommodation comprises six cabins for 12 persons, spanning some 90m² in total (50m² of which is split equally between two VIP cabins), while the crew quarters contain four cabins, providing berths for eight or 10 crewmen, depending on how the yacht is being used. As she has been designed to comply with the Large Yacht Code (LY3), the vessel can also be chartered out.
M/Y Elaldrea+ has a 9.1m beam, a maximum draught of 2.45m and a full load displacement of 485tonnes. She is powered by twin MTU 12V 2000 M72 engines, granting her a service speed of 13.5knots at 85% MCR, or 14.5knots max. Naiad Dynamics supplied the vessel’s bow thruster and stabilisers. When travelling at 10knots, the yacht should enjoy a range of approximately 4,000nm, Benetti estimates.
Other features include the application of various types of marble inside the vessel and two tenders: a 6.3m model, stored in a garage; and a 3.4m version for the crew, which is stored in the yacht's forward seawater pool.
