Early July saw custom yachtbuilder Oceanco deliver what has been billed as the largest ever yacht built in the Netherlands. Measuring 110m x 16.4m, displacing more than 4,500gt and developed to meet the requirements of the Passenger Yacht Code, Jubilee was built at Oceanco’s facility in Alblassedam, on the country’s west coast.
The vessel incorporates a six-deck arrangement with an elongated profile and long horizontal lines, and has been developed to draw 4.4m. Exterior styling was handled by Turin, Italy-based Lobanov Design, and includes: the vessel’s ‘multi-deck’ visual effect; a forward-positioned helideck with concealed mooring deck below; and a pool deck, featuring a built-in aquarium. Jubilee features a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure.
Australia’s Sorgiovanni Designs, meanwhile, provided the yacht’s interior design. This includes "accommodation for up to 30 guests, housed across 15 staterooms", and “an entirely private owner’s deck", Oceanco says. There is also room for 45 crew members.
Jubilee is powered by twin MTU 20V4000 M73L engines, generating 3,600kW apiece and enabling a cruising speed of speed of approximately 14knots, increasing to 18.5knots max. The yacht also features a range of 5,000nm. She has subsequently commenced her first season in the Western Mediterranean.
