The Maritime Safety Group provides an opportunity for all members to raise and discuss technical matters of interest and relevance to maritime safety through the Group Forum.
The work and activities of the Maritime Safety Committee will be reported regularly in the Forum. Members may also comment on the Committee’s work, or propose matters for its consideration

Inclining experiment workup methods
The article "Scaling the Wall" in the November 2021 issue of The Australian Naval Architect (https://www.rina.org.uk/res/The%20ANA%20Nov%202021%20Web.pdf) describes, for a specific hull series, serious errors using GM to derive VCG from inclining experiment results: urging authorities to address this risk by requiring use of a method which consistently delivers a correct result.
