IMO Group
The IMO Group provides an opportunity for all members to raise and discuss matters relating to the Institution’s work and responsibilities as a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) with Consultative Status at the IMO using the Group Forum.
The work and activities of the IMO Committee will be reported regularly in the Forum. Members may also comment on the Committee’s work, or propose matters for its consideration

The meeting was held from 20 to 24 March 2017 and attended by members of the IMO Committee.
SUMMARY.
The following matters of note were considered
o Objectives and functional requirements of Life Saving Appliances (LSA).
o Implementation of the LSA Code.
o New requirements for ventilation of survival craft.
o Consequential amendments to the Polar Code.
o Unified Interpretations.
o Requirements for Lifting Appliances and Winches.
o FSS Code matters relating to CO2 pipelines.
