Membership and Registration Fees
Annual Membership Fees will be charged at the rate applicable to the country in which the member is resident for the majority of the year.
Registration Fees for members registered with the Engineering Council will be collected by the Institution, together with Annual Membership Fees.

Membership Fees and Engineering Council Registration Fees (where applicable) are due payment on 1 January for existing members and on receipt of election/registration notification letter for new or transferred members (where a membership fee due).
Retired Rates
Members who are no longer in gainful employment and have been a member for 20 years, are eligible for the retired rates of membership and registration fees. Members wishing to apply for the retired rate should contact the Membership Department, confirming that they are no longer in gainful employment.
Career Break
Members taking a Career Break for more than 6 months, eg family duties, illness, return to full-time education, may be eligible for a reduced rate of membership and registration. Members applying for the Career Break reduction in fees should state the reason and confirm that they intend to return to employment.
