SIG SMALL Plan

Costa Concordia Accident

It has now been over a year since the Costa Concordia collision, which resulted in the death of 32 people. The salvage operations to remove the vessel are not expected to be complete until September or October 2013 and there are still a number of on-going investigations. The Italian Marine Casualty Investigation Central Board, the body charged with the technical investigation into the Costa Concordia casualty, has not produced its final report. While there is still some speculation about the exact sequence and timing of certain events, some information has been provided in a number of preliminary presentations.
