Protecting Marine Environment Through Design, Construction and Operation
10-11 November 2021
States have the obligation to protect and preserve the marine environment, as agreed in the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) international treaty. Our oceans and seas offer a large amount of resources and opportunities, but need to be exploited in a environmental conscious manner. The growing demand from commercial and recreation activities is increasing pressure on those resources.
RINA invites papers from naval architects, builders, class societies, operators and researchers on all related topics, including but not limited to:
- Renewable Energy
- Power and Propulsion Alternatives for Ships. Energy Efficiency
- Air and Water Pollution. Underwater Noise
- Fisheries. Sustainability.
- Research programmes
- Green Technologies retrofitting
- Ship recycling
- Wind Farms. Design and Operation
- Rules and regulations
