ICEPRONAV is a key member of the International Contract Engineering (ICE) group, which is one of Europe's largest independent naval architecture and marine engineering consultants. ICE has been in business for more than 40 years and have designed several hundred ships and numerous offshore platforms.

The permanent staff, which includes 400+ professionals, covers most engineering disciplines (such as naval architecture, marine engineering, structural analyses, hydrodynamics, IT, electrical and instrumentation, propulsion systems, piping, accommodation, deck machinery, life saving, etc.).

ICE, through ICEPRONAV, is the Europe's largest user of the TRIBON software. In addition, ICEPRONAV also uses several other software systems for piping system design, CFD analyses, FEM analyses, etc.

ICEPRONAV offers a full range of high quality, cost-effective engineering and design services, either in its own offices or at its clients' sites. Its clients include leading oil & gas industry contractors, major shipbuilders and large defence contractors as well as family-owned ship-owners.

ICE, through ICEPRONAV, has its own substantial in-house, internationally recognised (ITTC and ECMAR) hydrodynamic test facilities (located in Romania) that enable hull forms and propeller designs to be optimised without depending on access to third party towing tanks. The hydrodynamic test facilities include a cavitation tunnel, a manoeuvring basin and two towing tanks (the largest being 280 m x 12 m x 6 m).
