Techport Australia is underpinned by the state government's investment in state owned infrastructure which will include:

Common User Facilities including Australia's largest ship lift, a transfer system and wharf.
A Suppliers Precinct, encompassing more than 35 hectares of land for subcontractors to set up operations on site and establish strong and efficient supply chains.
A Commercial and Education Precinct, including
- An on-site Maritime Skills Centre to provide trade and technical skills for the hub's users.
- The proposed future home of the Air Warfare Destroyer Systems Centre, which brings together all of the engineering disciplines necessary to design, build and deliver the AWDs.
