TECHNICAL PRESENTATION - 1 May 2012

A technical presentation arranged by RINA UAE Chapter was held on 1st May 2012.

Ravi K and Geir Bjorkeli of Rolls-Royce Plc. talked on “Rolls-Royce Environship Concept”, an environment friendly and energy efficient design concept from Rolls-Royce.

The presentation was attended by 44 people. The seminar lasted for an hour and was followed by a very interactive Q&A session.

TECHNICAL PRESENTATION - 30 May 2011

The paper was presented by Mr. Gunnar Haug ,Market & Sales Director Far East and Middle East, ULSTEIN Middle East (DMCEST). The topic was “Designing Environmentally Sustainable Ships” . The presentation covered the following subjects:

Design know-how for proven ways of reducing carbon emissions
Next generation vessels how will the ship of the future look when the focus is low emissions
EEDI and shipbuilding

The presentation was well attended by 52 members.
