IMO NA Group e-newsletter
The Institution considers that it holds its NGO status at the International Maritime Organisation on behalf of the global naval architecture profession. Shortly after being granted NGO status, the Institution formed the IMO Naval Architecture Group of national professional societies which share the same aims and objectives as the Institution with regard to safety. The Institution undertakes to inform and seek the views of member societies on matters being considered by the IMO.
In order to keep member societies of the IMO NA Group better informed of its activities, the Institution has introduced an IMO NA Group e-newsletter which is distributed to all member societies. Individual members of societies may also subscribe to the e-newsletter, although any comments or views they might have on matters contained in the e-newsletter should be forwarded through their parent society (RINA members should forward their comments through the Safety Committee, using the Discussion section of the online Technical Forum)
Members who wish to subscribe to the IMO NA Group e-newsletter may do so online at www.rina.org.uk/imo. Past issues of the e-newsletter may also be viewed online.
