IMO Naval Architecture Group

IMO LogoThe Royal Institution of Naval Architects is a Non- Governmental Organisation (NGO) in Consultative Status with the International Maritime Organisation (IMO). The Institution considers that it holds its Consultative Status on behalf of the international naval architecture profession. It therefore invites any organisation representing members of the global naval architecture profession, and who would wish their views to be represented at the IMO, to become members of the IMO Naval Architectural Group.Through this informal Group, the Royal Institution of Naval Architects will represent the concensus view of these organisations.

The Institution will undertake to inform and seek the views of members of the IMO NA Group on naval architectural related matters being considered by the Council, the Maritime Safety Committee (MSC), the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) and their relevant sub-committees and working groups. Members of the Group may also propose new matters for representation to the committees.
