About Divisions and Branches

RINA has Divisions and Branches worldwide. These organise professional, technical and social events for the benefit of local members, providing an opportunity to meet and exchange views with other industry professionals. Members of the Institution are automatically members of their national Division and local Branch, and are kept informed of events, many of which are open to non-members.

Branches are managed by their Committee, elected from and by the members of the Branch. Some Branches are organised jointly with other professional institutions, whilst some hold joint meetings with other organizations.

Australasia

Australian Division The Royal Institution of Naval Architects is represented in Australia by the Australian Division Council, which is elected by members resident in Australia . There are local Sections in Western Australia , Queensland , New South Wales , Australian Capital Territory , Victoria and Tasmania .

New Zealand Division The Royal Institution of Naval Architects is represented in New Zealand by the New Zealand Division Council, which is elected by members resident in New Zealand , and is based in Auckland .
